Which is Closer to Danish: Norwegian or Swedish?

Norwegian is a little closer to Danish, BUT please note that Norwegian pronunciation is utterly different from Danish (but the same is true of Standard Swedish, so that won't help). Note that Danes do understand both Norwegian and Swedish, so you don't need to agonize about all this too much. The more you learn of either of the other two languages, the better off you will be. Norwegian though IS better.
