How do you make plain pasta from a packet?? (easy question, just a briefxplanation for my homework!)?

I have to make a brochure on pasta for Design&Technology at school, and I need a quick recipe on how to just make plain, store bought pasta.On the back of this Barilla Farfalle packet i have here, it says to cook for about 6 minutes with a ladleful of water, but that is for a particular recipe with a particular sauce. The question on my ignment notification says i need to explain how to make store bought pasta. Help, please!
