A monkey friend STILL has a tail (ew) but insists that he is more evolved - how can I convince him he's not?

All he ever wants to do is swing from branches and read magazines while I prefer more pithy reading like Shakespeare's sonnets. Why does the monkey put on airs like this? He's obviously of a lower order of primate.
